History
The Black Bull pub is the oldest inn in Haltwhistle, with its original foundations in the 12th century. The first records show an inn being present on the site in 1652. The current building incorporates the Medieval Church House, linked to The Church of the Holy Cross. Our ale lines actually travel through the church grave yard.

The best source for
local real ales
At the Black Bull we have a strong link with the Allendale Brewery.
They make our own Black Bull Ale and we also sell several of their other real ales.
